## Job Description INTERN-TROPICAL FORAGES THE ORGANIZATION The Alliance of Bioversity International(www.bioversityinternational.org) and the International Center for TropicalAgriculture (CIAT) (www.ciat.cgiar.org) delivers research-based solutions that harness agriculturalbiodiversity and sustainably transform food systems to improve people’s lives.Alliance solutions address the global crises of malnutrition, climate change,biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation. With novelpartnerships, the Alliance generates evidence and mainstreams innovations totransform food systems and landscapes so that they sustain the planet, driveprosperity, and nourish people in a climate crisis. TheAlliance is part of CGIAR, a global research partnership for a food-securefuture. About the position TheIntern will provide administrative, logistical, travel, procurement, andcoordination support to the Tropical Forages Program. The role will assistresearch and program staff with day-to-day operational requests, includingtravel arrangements, meetings and events, procurement processes, paymentfollow-ups, and task tracking. The Intern will work closely with relevantinternal teams to ensure requests are processed accurately, efficiently, andwithin agreed timelines, while maintaining clear communication and appropriaterecords. Main responsibilities - Process all travel requests, ticket flightoptions, ticket requests, monitoring of the trip (departures/arrivals on time,advance travel processing, insurance, visas, requirements, legalization andreimbursement of expenses. - Make logistical arrangements for meetings,conferences, and other events (including invitations, air tickets, hotels,etc.) and relevant follow-ups. - Support research staff in the hub in raisingrequests for the acquisition of goods and services and following up with theperson responsible for implementation, liaising with accounting staff aboutpayments. - Process assigned tasks from requests sent byTropical Forages staff. - Collaborate with relevant teams to fulfilrequests within agreed deadlines, maintain internal task-tracking spreadsheets,and communicate status / completion to requesters by email. - Carry out other administrative duties asrequired. Education and Requirements - Bachelor'sdegree in Administration, Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, or relateddiscipline. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Competencies - Attentionto detail. - Results-oriented. - Strongcommunication and teamwork skills. - Proactivityand autonomy. - Planningand time management. Terms of employment This is anationally recruited position based inNairobi, Kenya. The initialcontract will be for up to Six (6) Months, subject to a probation periodaccording to local legislation, and is renewable depending on the performanceand availability of resources.
