## Technical Officer, Cairo, Egypt - Organization:WHO - World Health Organization - Office:WHO EMRO Cairo Contractual Arrangement : Temporary appointment under Staff Rule 420.4 Contract Duration (Years, Months, Days) : 1 year (Subject to availability of funds, satisfactory performance and continuing need for the position) Job Posting: Sep 29, 2026, 7:06:52 AM The Regional Director's Office (RDO) supports the Regional Directorin the efficient delivery of their mandate and in the provision of effectiveleadership and coordination of the work of WHO in the Eastern MediterraneanRegion, including partnerships and collaboration with countries, the UN system,international organizations, bilateral and multilateral agencies and otherstakeholders. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES - Contribute to the management and maintenance of the Regional Director's schedule, correspondence and missions, with support of the Regional Director's Office.6. Participate actively in key technical and policy meetings to support WHO EMRO's work with Member States. - Prepare briefings for the RDO on important programmatic, procedural and protocol issues for the region.8. Draft reports, briefing notes,meeting summaries and other technical products to ensure proper reporting andfollow-up after meetings,and international or country missions by WHO, other partners, experts.9. Generate routine statistical andanalytical reports as required, based on the existing databases. - Perform any other duties as assigned by the Regional Director REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Desirable: Advanced degree or training in relevant field including project management or public administration. Desirable: Working experience in an international or UN organization. Respecting and promoting individual and cultural differences Moving forward in a changing environment Use of Language Skills Desirable: Intermediate knowledge of French.
