| Job Description - Finance Associate (2604114) Finance Associate-(2604114)Grade:G6Contractual Arrangement:Fixed-term appointmentContract Duration (Years, Months, Days):1 year## Job Posting:Sep 22, 2026, 7:56:25 PM## Closing Date:Oct 14, 2026, 5:59:00 PM## Primary Location:Solomon Islands-Honiara## Organization:WP_SLB Solomon Islands## Schedule:Full-timeIMPORTANT NOTICE:Please note that the deadline for receipt of applications indicated above reflects your personal device's system settings.## OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMMEBy its role and function, the incumbent will contribute to the overall goal of WHO's presence in Solomon Islands which is ensuring a functional health care system capable of delivering responsive quality services that are accessible, affordable, and equitable for all population in the country.## DESCRIPTION OF DUTIESThe incumbent is expected to perform all or most of the following duties:- Act as focal point for budget and finance matters, responding to queries and escalating issues- Provide information and guidance on application of organizational rules, policies, and procedures- Monitor compliance and analyze funding situations, planned costs, donor agreements, and expenditures- Provide guidance and support for operational planning and workplan management- Check completeness and accuracy of payment request supporting documents- Follow up on invoices on hold and encumbrances with budget centers- Ensure timely processing of bank account replenishments- Review and process service registrations and reports from budget centers- Identify areas requiring improvement and recommend capacity building initiatives- Establish and/or maintain the team's electronic filing system of technical documents and correspondence.- Perform other duties as assigned by the designated supervisor ## REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS### EducationEssential: Completion of secondary or high school.Desirable: Training in office administration.### ExperienceEssential: Minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience in general office or administrative support functions, including substantial experience in providing support for finance-related activities and processes.Desirable: Administrative experience working in an international organization, requiring frequent interaction with high level government, executive and other officials.
