ABOUT THE POSITION The Alliance of Bioversity International andCIAT delivers research-based solutions to sustainably transform food systemsand improve people’s lives. As part of its research on multifunctionallandscapes in Kenya, the Alliance has collected household and farm-levelsocio-economic data in Kiambu and Makueni counties using the Holistic LocalizedPerformance Assessment (HOLPA) framework. The Alliance is seeking an MSc internto support the in-depth analysis and synthesis of the existing HOLPA data,including further development of existing R scripts and generation of plots,tables, and other research outputs. *MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES* 1. Review andorganize the existing HOLPA socio-economic datasets and relevant analyticalvariables. 2. Use andfurther develop existing R scripts for analysis of household- and farm-levelsocio-economic data. 3. Assess thedegree of agroecology across farms and examine differences in socio-economicand farm performance across different levels of agroecology. 4. Analyzerelationships, correlations, synergies, and trade-offs between the degree ofagroecology and different dimensions of farm and household performance. 5. Generatepublication-quality plots and tables and support the interpretation andsynthesis of key findings. 6. Contribute toa scientific manuscript through data analysis, preparation of figures andtables, and interpretation of results. ### Requirements Education and Requirements Currently pursuing an MSc in Agricultural Economics,Data Science, Applied Statistics, Economics, or a related field. ?Skills: - Knowledge of quantitativeand statistical data analysis. - Familiarity with R orother statistical software. - Interest in agriculturaland socio-economic data analysis. - Good analytical, writing,and communication skills. - Willingness to learn andwork within a multidisciplinary research team. ### Benefits Terms of employment ?
