Shelter and WASH Technical Officer Somalia Jowhar ( National Role)

P.S: Please ensure that you fill in all details before submitting your application. Empty and incomplete applications will not be considered. Qualified female candidates are particularly encouraged to apply. Background: The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organisation helping people forced to flee. We protect displaced people and support them as they build a new future. We started our relief efforts after World War Two. Today, we work in both new and protracted crises across many countries. We specialise in six areas: cash and market, education, shelter, legal assistance, camp management, and water, sanitation and hygiene. We stand up for people forced to flee. NRC is a determined advocate for displaced people. We promote and defend displaced people's rights and dignity in local communities, with national governments and in the international arena. The Shelter/WASH Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day technical implementation of NRC’s infrastructure projects in the South Area Office, leading the design, assessment, and construction supervision of community infrastructure such as market rehabilitation, footbridges, river embankments, boreholes, and water systems. The role works closely with partners, government stakeholders, and communities to ensure the delivery of safe, durable, and context-appropriate infrastructure. Before applying, please make sure that you have read the requirements for the position and that you qualify. Applications from non-qualifying applicants will most likely be discarded by the recruiting manager.
