WHAT WE DOThe International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral, and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC is mandated to work in countries affected by armed conflict or other situations of violence. The ICRC is present in over 100 countries and has 18,000 staff worldwide. In 2014, the ICRC expanded its presence in Ukraine.Over 900 team members work acrossthe county in various professional fields.ABOUT THE JOBThe ICRCHealth Departmentseeks a competentHealth Field Officerto join our team inOdesa.This role contributes to the implementation, running and monitoring of health programs with up to 60% dedicated to the follow-up of Primary Health Careand Hospitals, and up to 40% to theFirst Aid & Pre-Hospital Emergency careactivities, according to the objectives set out during the delegation’s annual planning process for a specific geographic area or field of activities. Based on her/his skills and experience, s/he has the capacity to oversee activities with a certain degree of autonomy.YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESConduct assessments and regular field visits to monitor activities for First Aid &Pre-Hospital Emergency care related threats affecting the population.Support the assessments, preparation, coordination, and delivery of First Aid &Pre-Hospital Emergency care trainings and workshops to key groups base on ICRC training material and guidelines for support.Support on preparation and interpretation during workshops, seminars, and training sessions.Participate and regularly update on the mapping of health facilities around their area of intervention and maintain an updated networking list.Analyse statistical information, identify patterns and provide recommendations as to how ICRC could better assist weapon wounded.Implement and follow up different health databases and records/registration for follow up of their programs for hospital activities.Maintain regular contact, visits, assess and deliver support to primary health care facilities covered by the program.Actively participate in developing primary health care strategy for Ukraine according to the planned health strategy and response at the delegation-level.Facilitate translation for mobile staff, contact with authorities and correspondence follow up (including donation certificates, requests, and other).Prepare and distribute medical stock in health facilities within her/his area of responsibility, according to operational priorities and observing ICRC logistics procedures.WHAT WE OFFER YOUA great team to work with and an organization where you have an impactEmployment contract according to Ukrainian labor law with flexible working arrangementsCompetitive salary between UAH 60,000 and 88,000 (gross) before taxationMedical insurance for you and your depending family membersComprehensive onboarding and learning opportunities.20 days of annual paid leaveConvenient office location in the city centerThe ICRC is anequal opportunity employerthat prioritizes staff safety and security.
