ASYCUDA is a computerized customs management system that covers most foreign trade procedures. It handles manifests and customs declarations, along with accounting, transit and suspense procedures. It also generates trade data that can be used for statistical economic analysis. The ASYCUDA software is developed by UNCTAD. Source: https://asycuda.org/en/about/. The ASYCUDA is a fully extra-budgetary programme implementing technical assistance projects across most continents, including in Liberia - • Provide Customs and Partner Government Agency (PGA) automation expertise - • Functional support to Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGAs) - • Write Partner Government Agency (PGA) specification and user guide documentation for the Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA) in Liberia - Candidate must be a national, legal resident or hold refugee status in the country of assignment. Assignment requirements - English, Level: Fluent, Required Required education level: - Master's degree in economics, business administration, management or related area. A bachelor’s degree in the above areas in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Competencies and values: - • Adaptability and flexibility - • Planning and organising Skills and experience: - • Must possess at least 3 years’ experience with a Master’s Degree or 5 years' experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in project or programme management, administration, or a related area, including in digitalization of customs procedures is mandatory. - • Experience in delivering functional training courses in a governmental agency is desirable. - • Experience in writing user/functional documentation is desirable. - • Candidates should have a background in working within an Agile approach and using Agile project management tools.
