## Events and Engagement Officer, Australia

Events and Engagement Officer
About Aga Khan Foundation Australia
- Support the planning and delivery of AKF Australia's
fundraising and community events.
- Coordinate event logistics from venues and catering through to
online ticketing and registration platforms, such as Humanitix,
signage and materials, ensuring a seamless and professional guest
experience.
- Support post event wrap up, including supplier reconciliation,
feedback collection and preparing summary reports.
- Track event spend against agreed budgets, flagging variances
promptly.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers and manage purchase orders in line
with AKF Australia's financial and procurement policies.
- Process invoices and reconcile expenses in coordination with
AKF Australia's finance processes.
- Coordinate relationships with the volunteers supporting AKF
Australia's events.
- Support volunteers across the events calendar, using clear
guides and schedules that make it easy for people to contribute
well.
- Help recognise and steward volunteers so they return for future
events and campaigns.
- Track sponsorship commitments, pledges and donations connected
to events.
- Support donor and sponsor acknowledgement, tax receipting and
stewardship communications, and maintain accurate records in
Raiser's Edge.
- Provide general administrative support, including meeting
coordination and documentation, and maintain simple project
tracking tools across all workstreams
- Event sponsors, corporate partners and suppliers
- Volunteers supporting AKF Australia's events
- Donors and community supporters
- Venues, vendors and event platform providers
We are seeking a collaborative, motivated and values driven
professional with a genuine commitment to international development
and solid experience delivering events that bring people together
in support of a cause.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience.
- At least four years of experience in event coordination,
project support or a comparable role, ideally within the Australian
not for profit sector.
- Experience supporting the delivery of events, including budget
tracking, procurement and supplier coordination.
- Direct experience with online ticketing and event registration
platforms, such as Humanitix, Eventbrite or TryBooking, including
setting up ticket types, registration questions and reporting.
- Experience coordinating and stewarding volunteers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong
attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, compelling
work to deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple
priorities, coordinate logistics and support others
effectively.
- A genuine commitment to international development, gender
equality and alignment with AKF's mission and values.
- Candidates must hold valid working rights in
Australia; applications from those without will not be
considered.
- Experience working within an international development
organisation or international NGO.
- Experience supporting fundraising, sponsorship or donor
stewardship activities.
- Familiarity with fundraising and donor platforms such as
Funraisin or Raiser's Edge.

bringing this commitment to every sponsor, donor and volunteer
interaction.

- A safeguarding commitment, upholding AKF's safeguarding
standards in all interactions with staff, volunteers, partners and
programme participants.
